The run up to Christmas saw a flurry of activity, with brands sending an average of nearly five emails per month, however January has seen total weekly volumes plummet 60% from December's peak.

Lycos are closing email accounts in the UK and Europe

Marketers with subscribers using caramail, lycos, jubii, firemail and multimania addresses will need to act quickly to obtain updated contact details. Accounts will be closed on 15th February so must also be removed after this date.
