Although some companies are investing in organic list growth, it appears the majority are overlooking this important, long term investment. Overall, list growth does not seem to be the most important issue for email marketers, with the combination of organic and acquisition making up a very small proportion of most companies email marketing budgets. Likewise, email marketing receives only a small proportion of most marketing budgets. This may be partly due to the low comparative cost of email marketing, but with email's impressive ROI, imagine what we could achieve with TV sized budgets...
