BBC Radio 2 is one of the most popular and distinctive stations on the air, reaching over 15 million listeners a week with its unique mix of music and speech programs.
Radio 2 had never emailed their subscriber base so approached us to create an acquisition, welcome and weekly newsletter program ‘2mail’, which was advertised on TV. The program now has 80, 000 subscribers and an average open and click rate of 49% and 16% respectively. We also developed an HTML building tool so that their internal marketing teams could build, edit and populate the templates. The program has been a huge success and has raised interest in email as a marketing channel across the BBC.
