The campaign manager

As campaign managers, we see ourselves as an extension of the client, representing their needs within the business. Our job is to do whatever it takes to make sure everything is delivered on time, to satisfaction and to budget.

The copywriter

Writing copy for email is a specialist skill. You have to come up with compelling messages in the right tone of voice that encourage subscribers to open and click. You also have to bear in mind the realities of the digital medium, writing for time-poor scan readers and subscribers looking to retrieve a message via inbox search.

The designer

Designing for email isn't just about balancing branding and functionality - it requires a real understanding of the channel's deliverability and rendering restrictions. Our design work is informed by years of analysis of click and revenue data. We use strong branding to provide visual cues that give subscribers an instant understanding of who the email is from, why they should be interested, and how to interact.

The testers

With so many email clients around today - both on desktop and on mobile, testing is becoming ever more crucial to ensure the right message is communicated time after time.

It's my job to test every single email that Alchemy Worx deploys. I have my own test station which allows me to test all the different email clients both installed, online and on mobile.

The coder

We're hand-coding specialists who understand the challenges of coding HTML for email. And we build all our templates from scratch. Email HTML means going back to the '90s. It's all about tables - forget floats, divs and external CSS!

How does Gmail handle image spacing? What about paragraph spacing in Hotmail? We know the answers to these and many more questions because we face the daily challenge of making sure messages render in all email clients. If we didn't, we'd have our testers to answer to - and that's never fun!

The deployer

We're experts in Email Service Providers. Working with over 20 of the top providers, we spend our time setting up all types of campaigns, whether they're transactional, recurring, event-driven, dynamic, or just straightforward set-up-and-send.

It's our job to know everything there is to know about the ESPs we work on. We're a bit obsessive if the truth be told. We keep up to date with all the new releases and developments so our clients can get the best out of their platforms. And they often come to us for solutions to their technical issues because we can translate techie gibberish into layman's terms. It's the language we understand!

The analyst

We believe that email marketing should focus on customers, not campaigns. Our reporting and analysis goes beyond open and click rates to give you informed, long-term insights into how customers respond to your communications.
